Past-President:
Rachel Erickson is Director of Learning & Engagement at the Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg, Canada, where she oversees the design, development and delivery of public, school and outreach programmes. She was the CAM Curatorial Intern (World Cultures) at Glasgow Museums from 2013-2014, where she assisted in the organisation of the 2014 CAM Triennial Symposium and worked on an outreach project with Glasgow’s South Asian community focusing on contemporary art from India. She stayed on as an Outreach Assistant with the Open Museum, alleviating barriers to engagement by underrepresented audiences with museum collections. Previously she has worked at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and interned at the Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood. She has an MA in Museum Cultures from Birkbeck, University of London (UK) and a BA from the University of Winnipeg. Rachel was Co-chair for the CAM Triennial in Cape Town and was honoured to serve as CAM President from 2020-2023. She is a proud member of the Red River Métis community and is looking forward to staying on with CAM as a volunteer.
